Kele Okereke, Russell Lissack, Gordon Moakes, and Matt Tong make up the English indie rock group Bloc Party. In 2003, they jump-started their careers when they were invited by Franz Ferdinand to play at the Domino Tenth Anniversary Bash, attracting a lot of attention from the press and peers. The next spring, they released their first full-length album in the U.K.
After two singles landed in the United States, Bloc Party signed with Vice Records and released Silent Alarm, their debut album in the U.S., in 2005. This record was highly praised and led to Silent Alarm Remixed later that same year. The band's growing fame led to several other EPs before they released their second studio album, A Weekend in the City, this past February.
