Summer Arts on Main returns with visual arts, crafts, music, and free hands-on activities for children in the heart of Portland's Cultural District. Running concurrently with the Portland Farmer's Market in the Park Blocks, Summer Arts on Main brings artisans from the Portland Saturday Market with a variety of paintings, pottery, jewelry, photographs, clothing, hand-carved wood-work and natural bath products. Free craft activities just for kids- from paper crafts, pet rocks and hand puppets to face painting- are a mainstay of the series. Adults can join the kids in sidewalk colored-chalk drawing, or design a vegetable vehicle- adding wheels to fruits and vegetables- to race in the vegetable derby.
