Heaven And Hell with Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Vinny Appice

Heaven And Hell with Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Vinny Appice
6/26/2007

Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice will reunite for the first time in 15 years as the Heaven And Hell tour rocks the St. Pete Times Forum on Friday, September 14th at 6:30pm.

Last year, the hard-rocking quartet convened to record three new songs for Rhino Records’ era-spanning collection, Black Sabbath: The Dio Years. One of the newly recorded tracks – "The Devil Cried" – is the first single. Bristling with the trademark Sabbath sound, the song is being well received by fans and critics alike.

The sessions for Black Sabbath: The Dio Years went so well that the band agreed to satisfy longstanding demands for a reunion tour. The Heaven And Hell World Tour will spotlight Dio’s tenure with Sabbath and will feature selections from all three of the group’s studio albums, Heaven And Hell (1980), Mob Rules (1981) and Dehumanizer (1992), as well as the newly recorded tracks.

Vincent Damon Furnier launched his music career at 17 years old as a lead singer, of a rock band called the Earwigs, who changed their name to The Spiders and then The Nazz, before finally settling on Alice Cooper. The original Alice Cooper band broke up in 1975, with the singer known as Alice getting his name legally changed to Alice Cooper and since then performing under the name. With huge success in his solo career as the king of shock rock, Cooper brings a grandly theatrical and shockingly violent brand of heavy metal to his albums and shows and has appeared in numerous films and television shows, from "Wayne’s World" to "That 70’s Show."

Queensrÿche began their musical journey in 1981 when a few friends hailing from the suburbs of Bellevue, Washington - Geoff Tate, Michael Wilton, Scott Rockenfield, Eddie Jackson and Chris DeGarmo - formed a pivotal rock band. Combining distinctive vocals, crunching guitars, and heart-pounding rhythms, the band has sold over 20 million albums worldwide.

Pollstar Magazine - the international newsweekly of the music industry, and one of the concert industry’s leading publications, released a report on ticket sales for the first quarter of 2006. The St. Pete Times Forum, in its tenth year of operation, ranked as the number one venue in the United States, and second in the world, for the most tickets sold to concerts, events and family shows for the period of 1/1/06 - 3/30/06. The study ranked the top 50 venues in the world by actual ticket sales for concert events and family shows.
