Allman Brothers Pre-Show Festival

It's only a little over a month until the Allman Brothers Band returns to Piedmont Park for the first time in 37 years! The party starts on Friday night, September 7, at 8:00 p.m. with the Allman Brothers Pre-Show Festival, an outdoor festival outside the Pool Hall at 30 Irby Avenue in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia (behind the Roxy) with Bonobos Convergence (featuring Vaylor Trucks) and the Fly Brothers, the night before the big show at Piedmont Park. We've told you all about the unique music of Bonobos, and The Fly Brothers is an Atlanta-based funk/jam band comprised of Justin Powell on bass and vocals (formerly of Glass, Space Medicine and the Tony Tyler Trance), Stephen Hendrix on guitar (formerly of the Tony Tyler Trance) and Scott Phillips on drums (formerly of Wayside Riders). This show is replacing the show we told you about at Dark Horse Tavern on the 7th, and there will be a lot more room at this outdoor gig for all the brothers and sisters to get their jam on!
